Only dogs, cats, and small animals such as fish are permitted as pets within the Town. Wild animals, fowl, cattle, swine, goats, apes, monkeys, and exotic animals are prohibited by ordinance.
Each household is restricted to a maximum of three adult dogs and/or cats. For this purpose, an animal is considered to be an adult at three months of age. The owner must then obtain an annual license for each pet.
A completed Animal Registration Form and fee is required to register a pet. You may review the Town’s animal registration requirements online. Owners may return the completed application in person between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays or by mail to:
