  2. Authors LIVE! Jeremy Heimans & Henry Timms, authors of New Power: How Movements Build, Businesses Thrive, and Ideas Catch Fire in Our Hyperconnected World

April 5, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Authors LIVE! is co-sponsored by The Friends of the Highland Park Library, Highland Park United Methodist Church and The Friends of the SMU Libraries.

Two visionary thinker practitioners confront the biggest stories of our age and reveal what’s really behind them: the rise of “new power.” Made possible by connectivity, new power is open, participatory, and peer-driven. The authors showcase unlikely leaders who use new power techniques, from Pope Francis and Lady Gaga to some of the cultural phenomena of our time such as the Ice Bucket Challenge, Reddit, and Airbnb.

Autographed books will be available for purchase before and after the program. The authors will personalize their book after the program.

The 7:00 p.m. Authors LIVE! programs are free and open to the public. The 6:00 p.m. Author Reception including a signed copy of the authors' book is $30 and must be reserved at least 2 days in advance by contacting HPUMC at 214-523-2240 or online.
