Continuing the legacy and natural beauty of Hackberry Creek, special care and attention will be given to improvement design and materials being compatible with existing conditions.
Who is conducting the study?
Under direction of the Town Council, a team of professional landscaping architectural and engineering consultants have been commissioned to conduct the Master Plan study. This important study is being lead by MESA (mesadesigngroup.com) who oversaw the award-winning development of Dallas' Reverchon Park.
Upcoming Public Workshop:
Join us at a public workshop on January 25, 2018 to exchange information and ideas about the Hackberry Creek Master Plan – an effort to develop conceptual designs for restoring and conserving the creek and its adjacent corridor.
The workshop will take place at the Armstrong Elementary School Cafeteria, 3600 Cornell Avenue, Highland Park, TX 75205.
An open house will take place from 6:00—6:30 p.m., with displays and maps for you to view. At 6:30 p.m., a brief overview and break-out group discussions will begin.
Resident participation is an important Highland Park tradition, and we look forward to your being a part of this work to ensure the continued preservation and enjoyment of beautiful Hackberry Creek.
If you have questions or comments about the conservation project, please contact Ronnie Brown, Director of Town Services, by email, or by phone, 214-559-9356.
