There are two main community notification systems utilized in Highland Park: 1) HP Alerts, powered by Genasys; and 2) Blue Zone News.
HP Alerts, powered by Genasys, Inc
HP Alerts is designed to keep the community informed by broadcasting alerts and important information to large groups of people across multiple communication channels (i.e., voice messages, text messages, and email). These alerts may be pre-programmed for distribution, such as a major road closure, or unplanned, such as a Tornado Warning.
Blue Zone News
The email newsletter, Blue Zone News, offers subscribers information on a variety of topics, from crime and crime prevention to library events. The Blue Zone News, typically distributed weekly, is a concise snapshot of happenings around town.
