[ARCHIVED] Self-Care in Midlife

image of self care sign

Wednesday, August 23 at 12:00 p.m.

Ages 18 and Up

Jamie Wilson, Lucy Smith, and Avery Hoenig present concrete tools to help you take care of yourself during this important phase of life.

Midlife abounds with changes and transitions on several fronts: biologically, psychologically, and socially, and we don’t talk much about any of this. If you’re anything like us, you had access to some great info when you were going through puberty, and you probably read a ton of books during pregnancy and again when it was time to talk about puberty with your kids. But where are the resources on the care and keeping of your midlife self? We’ve scoured the bookshelves and haven’t found much, so we’ve pulled together some practical information just for you. We’ll talk about what’s really happening to our brains, bodies, and relationships during midlife, and we’ll provide concrete tools and skills to help you take care of yourself during this important phase of life. We’ll also spend some time debunking some of the icky messages we’ve received about the midlife years.

Calling all women in midlife + anyone who loves or interacts with women in midlife! While focused on women in midlife, this presentation is not just for women in midlife. We truly believe anyone who loves a woman in midlife would benefit from attending (think spouses/partners, children, parents, friends, family, etc!).

Registration opens Thursday, July 20.
