[ARCHIVED] RBdigital eAudiobooks Are Transfering to OverDrive

Libby app logo picture with eBooks and eAudiobooks wording

The Highland Park Library will be moving all digital audiobooks from RBdigital to the Library’s OverDrive collection and the Libby app on September 22, 2020. On that day, RBdigital content may not be available during the transfer period, which can take up to 24-hours. Once complete, you will be able to use the Libby app or the OverDrive website to continue to browse, borrow, and enjoy all the same great audiobooks. Access to magazines, comics, AcornTV, and The Great Courses will remain available through the RBdigital app, and is not affected by this change.

What should you expect during this transition?

If you have already been enjoying the Libby app, there will be no change, other than you may notice even more great titles available for you to borrow.

If you currently have an audiobook checked out in the RBdigital app, it will be available through the remainder of the lending period so you can finish your title without disruption or risk of losing your place in the book. Any current holds on audiobook titles will not be moved to OverDrive. You can place holds on those titles again in the Libby app when the transfer is complete.

For those who have not yet tried the Libby app, all you need to get started is your Highland Park Library card number and PIN. The Libby app is easy to use and will guide you through the setup process to get you connected to the Library’s available content in just a few minutes. You can find in-app support, visit OverDrive’s Help site, or use the Libby Academy within the app for assistance. You can access instructions for and information about the Highland Park Library’s available digital services, such as Libby and hoopla, from the Library’s website.

What if you need assistance?
