The Town of Highland Park continues to take precautions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This year’s annual tree lighting will be a live broadcast, allowing residents to participate in the event from the comfort of their homes.
The lighting of the Landmark Pecan Tree will be a virtual experience this year on Thursday, December 3rd, beginning at 7:00 p.m. From the comfort of your home, Join Mayor Goodwin and her special guest as they countdown and flip the switch to the colorful bulbs that will illuminate the tree. Residents are invited to light their own tree at the same time to celebrate the occasion. The event will be simultaneously live-streamed on the Town’s Twitter page, the generous use of the Friends of the Highland Park Library’s Facebook page, the Town’s event page, and the Town’s Vimeo page.
