We’re happy to announce that Santa Claus will be participating in HPDPS’ Ride-Along program! The chief approved an extended Ride-Along for Santa, one that includes a visit to each street in Highland Park over four consecutive nights.
Santa’s Ride-Along began on Monday, December 19th, and his tour will finish on Thursday, December 22nd. At 5:30 p.m. each night, Santa will join one of our officers and patrol an assigned “beat.” Depending on call volume, Santa will spend between one to two hours in each patrol beat: Tonight, Santa will be on patrol in the southwest portion of Highland Park:
Preston Road west to town limits
Versailles Avenue south to town limits
