Swim Lessons
Private swimming lessons sessions are two weeks, and will be 30 minutes each lesson.
Lessons are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of each week.
Schedule: Private swimming lessons are available from 10:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Time of lessons will be confirmed with the Pool Manager. Sessions will be held:
- May 30 - June 9
- June 13 - June 23
- June 27 - July 7
- July 11 - July 21
- July 25 - August 4
Cost: $280 per swimmer
Registration: Registration is online only at hptx.org/recreation. You must have a CivicRec account to register. You must create a dependent account for your child to register them for classes. Please register each swimmer that will be taking lessons. Registration is for residents of the Town of Highland Park, and will require a valid 2023 Pool Permit prior to registering. Registration for each class will close one week before the start date of each session.
Payment: Must be paid online with registration at hptx.org/recreation. A valid 2023 Pool Permit is required to access the pool. (Parents or guardians that accompany swimmers, and who are dressed in street clothes and not swimming, will not be charged an entrance fee.)
Cancellation: Practice will be canceled for extreme weather. Please watch for pool closure notices on the Town’s Twitter page, @HP_Texas. Cancellations for registrations will be refunded if canceled up to 24 hours in advance of first class.
Swim Stroke & Conditioning Lessons
This program is to help young swimmers learn all four competitive strokes, a racing dive, flip turns, and a proper start of the blocks. It is a lead up to swim team later down the road. The program will also feature speed training and endurance training over the course of the Summer. It is designed to be a fun training session with the flexibility that families desire during the Summer months!
Qualifications: Must be able to swim the length of the pool back and forth.
Starts: Tuesday, May 30 through Friday, July 28. (No classes the week of July 4.)
Times: Each practice will be from 10:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m., Tuesday-Friday.
Cost of Program: $350 for the whole summer, or $70 per weekly session

If selecting the Weekly option, please register each swimmer for each week they will be attending. Registration is for residents of the Town of Highland Park, and will require a valid 2023 Pool Permit or valid resident Day Pass to enter the pool. Registration for each class will close one week before the start date of each session.
