Streaming Services through RBDigital
Learn from top professors and watch British TV shows and films with two new streaming services for Library patrons from Recorded Books. The Great Courses Library Collection and Acorn TV can be enjoyed on a laptop or desktop computer at https://highlandparktx.rbdigital.com/ or with mobile devices through the RBdigital app, which is available for Android and iOS. At the website or in the app, after setting up an RBDigital Account, patrons can use their Highland Park Library card number and PIN to check out a pass for a week’s worth of access to one of the streaming services. View the User Guide for streaming The Great Courses on RBDigital. |
Downloadable Books, Audiobooks, Magazines, and Comics
You can download books, audiobooks, magazines, and comics for free from OverDrive. Simply set up your OverDrive account with your Highland Park Library card number and PIN. To read or listen to books on your tablet or smart phone download OverDrive’s Libby app for Apple or Android. View the User Guide for the Libby app from OverDrive. |
Downloadable Magazines and Comics
The Highland Park Library has moved all digital audiobooks, magazines, and comics from RBdigital to the Library’s OverDrive collection and the Libby app. Magazines and comics will be available in both OverDrive and RBdigital until March 31, 2021. Access to AcornTV and The Great Courses will remain available through the RBdigital app, and is not affected by this change. |
Downloadable Newspapers and Magazines
You can download select digital newspapers, including The Dallas Morning News, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, and the New York Post, as well as magazines. Access over 6,000 publications from over 100 countries in 60+ languages. This service has been generously provided by the Highland Park Quality of Life Foundation. To access PressReader away from the Library - Visit PressReader on your computer or tablet through a web browser or the Pressreader app.
