The Highland Park Library powers imagination through creativity and discovery.
The Library is open, Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday - Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Although you will notice some changes to services, the Library will continue to serve as the community’s connection to lifelong learning while powering imagination through creativity and discovery.
Story Times for Children
Join us for virtual Baby Bounce story time on The Friends of the Highland Park Library’s Facebook Page
- Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. - This story time is designed for babies and to help parents incorporate early childhood literacy practices at home.
Join us for in person Story Time in the Park
- Fridays at 9:30 a.m. - This story time is designed for all ages. Bring a blanket, read stories, sing, and follow along with Miss Laura. Prather Park is located at the corner of Euclid and Drexel. In the event of inclement weather, story time will be canceled and resume the following week.
The Library is offering curbside service, for patrons to check out and pick up physical materials, at the Library’s Saint Johns Drive entrance. The service will be available during the following times, weather permitting: Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday - Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information on curbside service, please contact the Library at 214-559-9400.
The Library offers several virtual services, including streaming services and educational resources for library card holders that will allow you to borrow digital content or get homework help.

Short video tutorials on how to set up your account and get started for each of these services can be found on the Library’s Databases web page by clicking the blue "Tutorials" tab on the right side of the screen, and choosing "Library Services" to access the specific tutorials.
