Alley Reconstruction and Utility Improvement Project

The Town of Highland Park will launch the Alley Reconstruction and Utility Improvement Project to enhance water and sewer reliability by reducing water loss, preventing line breaks, and improving system performance.

Estimated Start Date: August 2025

The project includes:

  • Setup of traffic control signs and detours
  • Pre-construction inspection and video recording of site conditions
  • Installation of temporary waterlines (to maintain service during work)
  • Replacement of water and sanitary sewer lines
  • Full-depth reconstruction of alley pavement

What to expect: 

  • Advance notice will be given for any planned water service interruptions.
  • Some noise and limited alley access is expected during work hours (7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, excluding Town holidays). Some Saturday work may occur.
  • Trash and recycling pickup will continue as scheduled, with minor adjustments as needed.
