Exall Lake Dredging Project

Exall Lake Dredging Project

The Town has begun a project to dredge Exall Lake to restore lake depth, improve water quality, and support the long-term health of the lake.

The work uses a low-impact hydraulic dredging method that removes sediment and pumps it into large geotextile bags. These bags will be temporarily placed on the adjacent private property at Beverly Drive and Preston Road, with the owner’s permission, to allow the material to safely dewater and dry. All visible activity on this adjacent property is directly related to and authorized as part of the Town’s Exall Lake dredging project. Erosion-control measures will be in place throughout the work.

The project is designed to minimize disruption to wildlife, and precautions will be taken to protect ducks, fish, and other lake habitat during the work. Lakeside Park will remain open throughout the duration of the project, allowing residents to continue enjoying the park and surrounding amenities.

Work will occur in stages over the coming months, with completion anticipated by August, weather permitting.
